The B&B Monte Oliveto  was born in 2008. Me (Marta) and my mother Donatella decided to make our dream come true: to open a Bed & Breakfast. We found this early 1900s villa overlooking the greenery, a peaceful oasis with a large garden in our favorite neighborhood of Florence, and we immediately felt in love with it. Day after day we painted the rooms, renovated the garden, toured the markets of Tuscany looking for furniture and home decor items. And so in April 2008 our little dream was finally born. 

Over the years hundreds of travelers have passed through Monte Oliveto B&B, some passed quickly, some stayed for long periods, some became friends, and others come back to visit us every year. 

Since 2018, after working in a luxury hotel, living in London and traveling a bit around the world, I decided to continue the family project and run the B&B Monte Oliveto on my own. Over these years the Monte Oliveto family has expanded, with friends, sisters, volunteers from Canada, Australia or Switzerland who have passed through here, each one bringing their experience and putting their heart into this small and familiar B&B in the center of Florence.
